Major Roadworks Ashbourne

If you are attending Sheffield DA's St. George's Celebration weekend at Parwich, 25th - 27th April, please note that there are major roadworks in Ashbourne so if you approach from that side, the normal routes are subject to diversion.

Directions from Cromford direction are unaffected.

The local advice is different to council advice. Both are attached below. Callow Top Caravan Park have published directions. on their website and council have issued official diversions. Check out the options and decide for yourself.

Option 1 (local knowledge)

Proceed as if going to Kniveton and Hognaston but in Ashbourne, after passing the Fire Station, take a left and then left a the top, which then takes you back onto the A515 opposite the marketplace. Click here for more information, via Callow Top Caravan Park website.

Option 2 (council official).

Through Ashbourne as if going to Kniveton or Hognaston. Route passes Kniveton, passes Knockerdown and Carsington, then takes Via Gellia after Middleton and then brings you back to A515 at Fenny Bently. See map below.
