Tagg Lane Dairy is a free-range dairy farm just off the A515 towards Monyash. Set in the Peak District National Park this site enjoys spectacular uninterrupted views.
The dairy produces delicious natural products from their herd of Jersey Cows, meticulously prepared for sale right there on the farm. If you love ice cream then a visit to the Gelataria is a must. Tagg Lane Dairy specialises in producing the very best in artesan gelato, including their award-winning chocolate. Off-road walking and cycling are clear favourites, accessible via the Tissington Trail, which forks into the High-Peak trail about 1 mile south of Parsley Hay cycle centre. The important prehistoric site of Arbor Low is only 1 mile away, a major sacred Neolithic site still preserved today by English Heritage. The delightful Lathkill Dale is easily accessible from Monyash, this SSSI is maintained by Natural England in recognition of it's diversity of flora and fauna and the famous trout fishing river Lathkill was recognised by the famous 'compleat' angler, Izaak Walton, who declared it to be the 'purest and most transparent stream' he had seen..
