Set in the dramatic West Yorkshire countryside at Shepley, Sheffield DA ventured to the north of the region this weekend to enjoy a spectacular view of the 1,084 foot (330m) tall iconic Emley moor transmitting station. The impressive grade 2 listed structure remains the 4th tallest tower in Western Europe even though it has been transmitting telecommunications since 1971.
Despite unpredictable and somewhat changeable weather, celebrations were not dampened and a visit to the local Pub on Saturday evening was planned for a meal to celebrate the respective birthdays of Thomas (5) and Jane (ahem!).
