Sites Update | January 2025

Writer's picture: Paul WPaul W

As we start to see the days get longer and very soon look forward to the spring flowers emerging, we turn our thoughts to the new camping season ahead. As ever, your Sheffield DA committee has been hard at work putting together a fantastic set of fixtures and entertainment throughout 2025. We are excited to announce some new locations alongside familiar old favourites, so read on for details.

Site changes

New site: Dunham Millennium Centre, Village Hall, Dunham on Trent, April 4th - 6th.

Site change: 20th - 22nd June is changed to Lees Farm Meadow; Elton is cancelled due to cricket club fixture committments.

The latest sites list is available on the website, where you can view, download and even sync the fixtures to your preferred digital calendar.

Sherwood Forest Holiday Park

Booking is now open for our first meet of 2025 at Sherwood Forest Holiday Park. This meet offers a beautiful and peaceful full facility site on the banks of the River Maun surrounded by woodlands, fields, and lakes. £25.00 PUN to include: hard standing, EHU, facility block and 4pm Sunday late departure. Situated just 3 miles from the world famous Major Oak in Sherwood Forest, home to the legend of Robin Hood and his Merry Men. It’s also close to walks and cycle ways through the forest. In and round Sherwood Forest there is a wide range of activities to meet most needs. The ancient woodland is home to the legendary home of Robin Hood, the 900 year old Major Oak, which the visitor can view whilst strolling around the peaceful environment. The more energetic might choose to cycle the many off-road trails in Sherwood Pines and the thrill-seekers can tackle the mighty Kitchener Trail. For those less physically inclined, a visitor centre with exhibitions and information about this important SSSI (Site of Special Scientic Interest). Pitches are strictly limited so to secure your pitch do not delay.
